The turtle and the moon

This week, Michelle Alexander draws a turtle for us while discussing this animal's significance to the Anishinaabe. Michelle is an Ojibwe artist who is part of the Turtle Clan (specifically Mikinaak, which is associated with snapping turtles). We learn about a prominent cultural aspect of the turtle's shellthat it is also used as a lunar calendar
